Hunter in The Sky

BY Raihan Triwafi Purwantori

Witness the children of blue go beyond!

As their vertical birds ascend into the blue morn,

Blasts! Their fire was the grandest of sights

And they surface into the infinite night.

As they emerged, the stars gazed at their guests

It is the children, having the warmest of greets

For as far as eye can see, it’s wonders east and west

They returned their gaze, into a sight most sweet

Greater wonders await, so in hyper speed they fly

And the host greeted them amongst the nebula

It is Orion, the hunter in the sky

A being so divine, as beautiful as the heavy sonata

The children sit, and in silence they admire

It was no orchestra nor was it a choir

But a spectacle of an ethereal abyss,

From the star Rigel, to the Alpha Orionis.

In their silence, they listen to Orion

Behold! Orion spoke to the children

Comes from beneath the cosmic horizon,

Orion’s companions, the hounds of the heaven.

The bird of the children floats among the stars

May us eternalize this in our memoirs

Orion, such a sight to behold you are

Thank you dear Orion, Au revoir
