Rain Upon Me
BY Raihan Triwafi Purwantori
Long have this barren heart yearned for your rain
To rejuvenate the melody it once sung
Rain upon it your love mist, and numb the pain
And once again let it feel, let it be young
Stay, for even if it turns into a storm,
the flowers you plow, keeps me in a warm embrace
By the raindrops coming at me in swarm
I would still find and see your glistening face
Keep away the sun, don’t flee from my dream,
for we are bound by the turquoise line
A promise we both atone, under the moonlight’s gleam,
where a declaration is no longer a sign
My rain, I’ll hereby promise you and the dove
That I’ll protect the reality we’ve begun
this rain is not the blindness of love
for I know even fate would want us as one
